The elementary school is located in the Rastatt district of Rauental. It is a single-grade elementary school with about 50 students in four classes. The city of Rastatt offers childcare at the Rauental Elementary School in the form of the Reliable Elementary School and the Reliable Elementary School with Flexible Afternoon Care. Registrations can be made through the school secretary's office.

- Since the 2022/23 school year: Participation in the state-wide pilot project "Learning-enhancing performance feedback at elementary school" (Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs - Schulversuch Lernförderliche Leistungsrückmeldung (km-bw.de). Students receive differentiated performance feedback instead of simple grades. The regular education plan continues to be the binding basis. The same requirements and learning objectives apply.
