Municipal defect reporter goes offline in mid-December - new participation platform available from January

For almost seven years now, the so-called defect reporter has been a much-used service offered by the city of Rastatt. 7.077 reports have been received by the city administration since its launch in January 2018. Reports can be made for defects in public spaces, such as litter left lying around, broken lampposts, broken playground equipment and more. Due to a necessary change of provider for the new year, no defects can be entered on the existing website from December 16, 2024.

"The previous provider is discontinuing its service at the end of the year," explains Mayor Monika Müller. "Of course, the people of Rastatt will continue to have this important element of participation. It will enable the city administration to quickly become aware of many minor damages and defects and then rectify them," Müller continues. The new platform is due to go online by mid-January 2025. Until then, urgent matters can be sent by email to buergerbeteiligung@rastatt.de can be sent by e-mail. The processing of reports may be delayed due to the public holidays. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

Any reports that have been entered and not yet completed will of course continue to be processed by the respective employees of the city administration and will not be lost.
