The city of Rastatt has been a "Committed City" since 2024. This means it is part of a nationwide network of more than 100 cities that are committed to promoting long-term engagement and volunteering locally. The aim is to strengthen the voluntary commitment of the people of Rastatt.
More people should be encouraged to get involved in their living environment. In a city, people not only live together, they are also responsible for each other. This awareness needs to be cultivated and passed on. Further information on the Germany-wide network can be found at https://www.engagiertestadt.de/.

The Rastatt associations VIVE(Association for International Diversity in Rastatt) and Seniorenhilfe Rastatt e.V. have been involved from the outset. VIVE is committed to the participation of refugees and migrants in social life in Rastatt, while Seniorenhilfe Rastatt is committed to helping older citizens in need of support. Would you like to take part? Other interested project partners from civil society and business are always welcome!

The coordinator of the Engagierte Stadt Rastatt pools information, needs and ideas from committed citizens, associations, institutions and companies and passes them on to her network. Currently planned or in progress are

- Events on the topic of volunteering for volunteers and multipliers
