Since the large-scale refugee movements in 2015 and again since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, civic engagement in Rastatt has been overwhelming. Numerous citizens support the new arrivals in various areas of life: from accompanying them to doctors and authorities, with language acquisition, to finding housing and jobs. But many associations are also active, offering support or helping with donations in kind and money. The customer department Integration and Community Work coordinates this commitment. More volunteers are always welcome!
