Since the large refugee movements in 2015 and again since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, civic engagement in Rastatt has been overwhelming. Numerous citizens support the new arrivals in various areas of life: from accompanying them to doctors and authorities, helping them to learn the language, to finding accommodation and jobs. Many associations are also active, offering support or helping with donations in kind and money. The Integration and Community Work customer department coordinates this commitment. More volunteers are always welcome!
