Anyone drawing their pension from the statutory pension insurance scheme must first submit a pension application. This should be done around four to five months before the intended start of the pension to ensure that the application is processed by the German Pension Insurance in good time.
You can submit your application online to Deutsche Rentenversicherung. An electronic application form is available in the online services at www.deutsche-rentenversicherung.de.
You can also submit your application to the pension office of the city of Rastatt. Residents of the districts of Rastatt can also contact their local administration office regarding pension matters.
The brochure "Your pension application - this is how it works" from Deutsche Rentenversicherung offers helpful tips on what you should look out for when applying for a pension. The brochure is available in the foyer of the town hall at Herrenstraße 15 and in the local administration offices.
Advice on pension matters may only be given by pension consultants from the German Pension Insurance (DRV). In Rastatt, pension advice is generally offered on Tuesdays from 8:40 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:40 pm. This takes place at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 30 in the AOK building.
