The new construction of the bypass (L77) is intended to relieve the old town center around Murgtalstraße of traffic. For this purpose, traffic circles are planned in Murgtalstraße/Weiherstraße and Murgtalstraße/Baulandstraße. New residential space is to be created in the area between the planned bypass and the existing buildings on Murgtalstrasse and Mühlstrasse.
Old village center
The old town center in the area of the former local administration and the old fire station is to be developed with the inclusion of adjacent areas. A mixture of (age-appropriate) housing, smaller commercial units and public facilities is planned. Another focus is the construction of a barrier-free footpath along the Ooser Landgraben with a pedestrian bridge to connect the town center with the existing square areas and the newer residential areas as well as to the shopping areas.
Old church square
The Old Church Square is to be structurally upgraded. Laurentiusstrasse, Hans-Thoma-Strasse, Murgtalstrasse and Ringstrasse will also be redesigned. Potential sites in the inner area, for example in Hebelstraße and in the rear area between Hildastraße and Ringstraße, will be activated for future development.
Citizens have also developed the idea of a historical trail that connects Niederbühl with Förch and addresses the local history as well as the common history. In addition, there is the desire to make the so-called wedding meadow between Niederbühl and Förch a meeting place for residents of both districts.
Laurentius Street
Laurentiusstrasse forms the center of Niederbühl with the local administration, elementary school, kindergarten and St. Laurentius Church. In order to clarify its function as a so-called shared space, a uniform pavement is to be placed across the entire width of the street. Furniture and supplementary greenery are also intended to make it clear that all road users (motorized and non-motorized) have equal rights.
Hans-Thoma-Straße
The first section of Hans-Thoma-Strasse has already been made traffic-calmed. By extending the northern section as far as Murgtalstraße, this road, which is currently used as a slow lane, is to become completely uninteresting for motorized traffic. In addition, the excessively wide sidewalk in Ringstraße will be structured by tree plantings and public parking spaces.
Ooser moat
A footpath to the Netto market as an alternative to the non-barrier-free sidewalk in Murgtalstraße should be constructed along the Ooser Landgraben. A partially paved footpath to the "Green Village Square" is also desirable in the extension of Kirchstraße. In order to make the topic of water tangible, small pontoons are planned along the Landgraben, as well as seating. A bridge at the level of the "Grüner Dorfplatz" should create a connection to the existing street "Am Bach" and complete the path to the Netto market.
Green village square
Access from the "Green Village Square" to the Ooser Landgraben will be facilitated by means of a bridge and seating steps. In addition, planting typical of the area is planned. The existing soccer field will be preserved. In addition, a temporary toilet facility can be set up for village festivals. A rearrangement of the parking spaces will make it possible to arrange benches and limit the "green village square" to the street.
