The Kellertheater Rastatt

Small but nice: The Kellertheater Rastatt is a small theater with 88 seats located in the basement of the city library. Regular theater performances and cabaret events for children and adults take place in the vaulted cellar with its historical character.

The old walls create a unique atmosphere and the small size of the room allows the audience to take part in the action up close in an intimate atmosphere. Events from the Rastatt City Library's children's program also take place here regularly.

I am a visitor. Where is the Kellertheater? Is it barrier-free?

The entrance to the Kellertheater is at the rear of the Kulturforum building. Simply use the passageway between the municipal library(Herrenstraße 24) and the municipal music school(Herrenstraße 26).

Barrier-free access is possible via the Kulturforum: The courtyard of the Kulturforum can be reached via Lyzeumstraße (turn left behind the city library). Then use the barrier-free courtyard entrance of the City Library (located next to the entrance to the Kellertheater). Then take the elevator of the city library to the Kellertheater.

For visitors: For organizational reasons, the respective organizer must be contacted before purchasing tickets in order to use the barrier-free access.

For event organizers: Please contact the Cultural and Sports Promotion Customer Service Department in advance regarding the use of the City Library elevator, Tel. 07222 972-8201 (for opening hours).

Equipment: In addition to the stage with the usual lighting and sound equipment, the Kellertheater also has a bar for serving/selling drinks.
