Climate change is one of the biggest global challenges of this century. The effects of global warming are already being felt on a massive scale in Germany: hot summers, droughts and heavy rainfall events. In order to minimize these effects and reduce emissions of climate-damaging gases, the city of Rastatt is continuously driving forward its climate protection measures. In 2022, the municipal council also decided that Rastatt should become climate-neutral by 2035.
