"What holds our society together - in Rastatt, in Germany and in Europe?". With this question, the town of Rastatt is taking part in the first "Long Night of Democracy" in Baden-Württemberg on October 2. More than 20 towns and municipalities across the state are taking part. Visitors to Rastatt can look forward to a varied program in the Rossi House from 5 pm to 10 pm. The City Museum and the Fruchthalle Gallery are also taking part in the "Long Night of Democracy". One night before the Day of German Unity, democracy will be philosophized, discussed, argued and slammed in a wide variety of formats. Music and culture will be enjoyed and there will be plenty of laughter and celebration. True to the motto "When democracy is fun, so-called party participation arises"
The idea behind the Long Night of Democracy is to bring people from different social groups together and offer them a platform to discuss democratic values, civil rights and current political issues. The aim is also to appeal to young people and those who have previously had little to do with political processes.
As soon as the complete program is available, it will be published here on the website.
