For Wintersdorf, the renovation of the village road and the designation of new residential areas have high priority. Development has already begun in the Krautstücker area. The Krautstücker II area and the eastern and western edges of the village are planned as reserve areas.
New elementary school
Wintersdorf is to have an elementary school again. This has been decided by the municipal council. The offer is designed as a branch of the Ottersdorf elementary school. Classes are to start in the fall of 2024. However, approval from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture is still pending.
Northern edge of the village
The village street is to be narrowed and reorganized with tree locations and parking spaces. The visual connection of squares across the roadway is intended to further slow down traffic. The area between the village square and the bookstore will also be redesigned and better connected. Preliminary planning is currently underway for the first construction phase between Aalstrasse and Forellenstrasse. It is also planned to increase traffic safety for pedestrians and cyclists, especially in the area of the railroad underpass. In addition, there is a desire to gently round off the northern edge of the town with a residential development in continuation of Otto-Stegmüller-Weg.
City Hall Environment
According to the village development concept, the quality of stay around the local administration could be increased by opening up the beer garden of the Grüner Baum hotel restaurant. The same paving across Bannwaldstraße could make the square stand out more. In the medium term, it is conceivable to move the local administration to another location and to set up apartments in the town hall building.
Lake Garden Stage
The Seegartenbühne is an important meeting place in Wintersdorf. In order to be able to directly store materials and furniture for events there in the future, there is the possibility of offering storage rooms for clubs in the rear area. The existing access road in the western area of the property would have to be extended somewhat for this purpose.
Art Meadow
The art meadow on the western edge of Wintersdorf is unique. To enable even more creative people from the region to show their works there, the art meadow path along the Rhine lowland canal is to be extended. The existing playground could be included in the process. The construction of a small pedestrian bridge to the walkway in the direction of Aalschokker Heini is also being considered.
