Rauental, first mentioned in a document in 1402, is the eastern district of Rastatt. Today it has around 1,400 inhabitants. After the Second World War, Rauental developed from an agricultural village into a beautiful and attractive residential community. Rauental is located directly on the "Baden Asparagus Route". The district also boasts an intact village community and a lively club life, good infrastructure and good transport links.
Thorsten Ackermann has been the mayor of Rauental since September 16, 2019.
