The city administration of Rastatt uses the data exchange platform of FTAPI Software GmbH for secure and data protection-compliant communication with citizens and authorities.
Please note that the FTAPI data exchange platform does not constitute access within the meaning of Section 3a of the State Administrative Procedure Act (LVwVfG). This means that it may only be used for informal e-mail communication with the municipal administration and not for sending legally relevant declarations that are subject to special formal requirements (e.g. an objection).
When using the FTAPI data exchange platform, your personal data will be processed. The information in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is (PDF) (94 KB) available as a PDF (PDF) (94 KB).
Do certain technical requirements have to be met in order to use the FTAPI data exchange platform?
All you need is Internet access, an e-mail address and an Internet browser (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Safari). No special software, infrastructure or similar is required. In the case of end-to-end encrypted communication, the key exchange takes place automatically. All exchanged content is stored in a data center in Germany and protected by high security measures.
Have you received an e-mail from the city administration that files have been made available for download?
The first time you receive such an e-mail, you will be asked to create a temporary guest account when downloading the files. The guest account is free of charge for you and will be automatically deleted 90 days after the last login. If files are made available to you again after this period has expired, you will be asked to create a guest account again.
Have you received an e-mail from the city administration whose message content or file attachments are end-to-end encrypted?
In this case, you will first be asked to create a temporary guest account when downloading the message or file attachments (if you do not already have an FTAPI guest account). You will then be asked to create an encryption key (SecuPass key). This must be set independently of the password for the FTAPI guest account. The encryption key is required to ensure that only the persons involved in the communication are able to decrypt the content. You can download instructions with further information as a PDF.
