Children from 6 to 10 years: Elementary school
Children between the ages of 6 and 10 can be registered at the elementary school that belongs to their residential address. To find out which elementary school is responsible, contact the city's schools customer service department by e-mail at schulen@rastatt.de. Please include your child's address and date of birth in your request.
The Rastatt State Education Authority may assign your child to a so-called preparatory class at another school. There, intensive language support will initially take place.
Children from 10 to 16 years: Secondary school
Children and young people from 10 to 16 years of age can be enrolled in a secondary school. In Rastatt, there are various types of schools for this purpose: Community schools, secondary schools and grammar schools.
