General

The Rheinauen-Runde is an exciting exploration tour especially for families with children. You can walk the tour in either direction. Ideally you start the Tour of the Rhine Floodplain at the parking lot "Sportparkplatz". Alternatively, you can also start the loop from the Rhine promenade.

On the German side, a total of twelve exciting stations await you along the way. The total distance is 3.8 kilometers. Attention: the floodplain likes it wet. It can get muddy!

Just don't rush: Your excursion should be an experience. Plan about two hours for the Rheinauen-Runde.

Fancy some more? Then take the free ferry across the Rhine to France and explore the Rheinauen-Runde on the French side. A total of four stations are waiting to be discovered over a length of 2.8 kilometers.

You need a break? No problem. Along the way, you can take a short break at numerous stations and rest on the benches. On the Rhine promenade, picnic areas and a kiosk with snacks and drinks await you.
