Every two years, shortly before the start of the summer vacations, the whole of Rastatt celebrates the International City Festival. More than 30 associations of all kinds participate in this spectacle with culinary delicacies and varied program items. On several stages in the city center a versatile music and show program is offered, with which guaranteed for each taste something is present. A colorful range of games for the little ones makes the city festival a family-friendly highlight in the calendar
Many of Rastatt's twin towns like to use the international town festival as an opportunity to visit the baroque town. Then it may well happen that they also have a program item or delicacies from their homeland in their luggage
The atmospheric highlight is undoubtedly the great musical fireworks display, which traditionally sets the sky above Rastatt Castle ablaze on the Saturday of the city festival. The next city festival will take place from July 21 to 23, 2023.
