Those who are new to the public library or wish to renew their library card can pay the annual fee in person at the public library during opening hours, either in cash or by Girocard.
Alternatively, the annual fee can be automatically debited from the checking account by direct debit. Advantage: The validity of the library card can no longer expire. Simply print out the form for the direct debit authorization by SEPA direct debit (PDF) (76 KB), fill it out and send it by mail to the public library or bring it by in person.
The direct debit authorization can be cancelled at any time. The cancellation (PDF) (84 KB) must be received in writing at the public library at least four weeks before the expiration of the card validity.

It can be given as a gift to a new customer or to someone who already has a library card. The voucher then includes an extension of the expiration period.
