Would you like to order a certificate from the Rastatt registry office? No problem! Please note that the jurisdiction depends on the place of the event: Where was the birth, marriage or death?
You can order certificates without any problems if your name appears on the ordered certificate. In all other cases, please find out in advance whether we can hand over or send you the requested certificate for data protection reasons.

Which certificates can be ordered?
- Birth certificate, multilingual (international) birth certificate and certified printout from the birth register
- Marriage certificate, multilingual (international) marriage certificate and notarized printout from the marriage register
- Civil partnership certificate and certified printout from the civil partnership register
- Death certificate, multilingual (international) death certificate and certified printout from the death register
When and how can certificates be ordered?
You can either order, pay for and collect the required civil status certificate(s) in person during office hours or order them by e-mail or letter.
You can order your certificate in writing by e-mail at urkundenstelle@rastatt.de or by post or you can use the online form.
Please enclose a copy of the applicant's identity card/passport with the certificate order. The following data should be included in the written certificate order:
- First name and surname, maiden name if applicable
- Event date (date of birth, date of marriage, date of death)
- Address
- Purpose of the certificate

What fees are charged for certificates and how can they be paid?
The following fees apply for the issue of certificates:
- Marriage, civil partnership, birth and death certificates (also multilingual): 20 Euro
- Certified copies from the marriage, civil partnership, birth or death register: 20 euros
- Certified copies from the family register continued as a marriage entry: 15 euros
If you require a certificate for pension purposes, this is free of charge and is issued for a specific purpose.
The transfer of the civil status certificate(s) is exclusively subject to advance payment. To make a transfer to one of the following accounts, you will need a personalized booking reference from the registry office beforehand.
