The Rastatt volunteer fire department is one of the oldest in Germany. Volunteer comrades have been ensuring safety in Rastatt around the clock since 1846. The emergency services not only extinguish fires and rescue people and animals from dangerous situations, they also provide technical support to rescue teams in the event of serious accidents. Civil protection also includes the so-called fire safety watch, which is required at events.
The Rastatt volunteer fire department consists of two departments in the city center and five departments in the districts. There is also a senior and a youth department in the city center and in the districts. Every year, an average of 234 firefighters are called out to around 500 incidents to rescue, extinguish, recover or protect people, animals and property.
Note: In an emergency, please contact the Central Baden Integrated Control Center directly via the emergency number 112.
