Accompanying change: The districts of Rastatt should continue to offer Rastatt's citizens an attractive place to live and work in the future. With this in mind, the baroque town of Rastatt draws attention to the Rural Development Program, ELR for short, from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection, which is advertised annually.
What is supported?
Under the motto "We are leaving the future in the village!", structural development in rural communities and villages in the state is being promoted. Investments are made in projects that help Baden-Württemberg retain its decentralized structure. The funding focuses on inner development/housing, basic services, work and community facilities. Among other things, assistance is offered for the modernization and conversion of buildings in town centers and for securing the basic supply of goods and services.
Who can apply for funding? How does the procedure work?
Project sponsors and funding recipients can be local authorities or private developers. However, funding applications can only be submitted via the local authorities, i.e. via Rastatt town council for the Rastatt area. In the next step, the town of Rastatt sets out its development ideas and prioritizes the individual projects. After classification by the municipality, these measures are discussed at district level. The prioritization made here serves the regional council in the next step to create a program proposal. This proposal forms the basis for the program decision, which is made by the minister.
By when must the funding application be submitted? How long does the procedure take?
Applications for funding must be submitted to the City of Rastatt by September 1, and program decisions are usually made in February of the following year.
Who can I contact at the City of Rastatt?
Contact persons at the city of Rastatt are the respective local administrations and the Department of Urban and Green Planning. Further information on the ELR is available from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection
